Human Trafficking in Birmingham? NOT on our watch! Bagwell Family Fund Earlier this year Generosity Birmingham presented a discussion on Anti-Trafficking Solutions. 3 points have been haunting me since: • Human trafficking is the 2nd largest criminal industry in the world today, second only to the illegal drug trade. • The average victim enters sex trafficking at 11-14 years old. • Close to 70% of trafficking victims are eventually coerced back into trafficking at some point if they do not enter an intensive aftercare program and viable economic sustainability. The worse part, this isn’t just happening in third world countries, it is happening in the US, even in and around Birmingham, Alabama. According to the Global Slavery Index, there is an estimate of more than 6,000 human trafficking victims every day in Alabama, including forced labor and sex trafficking. If you are as mad/sad about this as I am, we can do something about it together. This crowdfunding campaign features 4 nonprofits who are combating human trafficking in/around Birmingham. Each nonprofit focuses on a different component of the three main pillars of anti-trafficking work – prevention, intervention, aftercare. Each nonprofit has committed to both a six-month report and then a one-year report on the impact of our efforts so that the donors can continue to utilize B Charitable with transparency and proof of impact. Fundraising Goal. $201,700 Use of Funds. • PREVENTION: With $59,900, The Exodus Road can do the following over the course of 18 months to bring prevention education to Birmingham: o Bring digital safety training to schools and communities with the goal of preventing online exploitation and human trafficking; o Hire a part-time trainer to serve as the Birmingham point person; o Train volunteers to help implement and continue these preventative efforts; o Host a community event and several press releases to raise awareness and prevention in the Birmingham area. • INTERVENTION: With $63,000, Covenant Rescue Group with conduct training with local law enforcement that will lead to at least one sting and at least one rescue operation. These stings typically lead to 8-15 arrests and the rescue missions lead multiple victims to aftercare. • AFTERCARE: o The average cost for up to two years of aftercare through the WellHouse for one resident survivor is $43,800. One of the most pressing issues that must be addressed before a victim of human trafficking can seek their healing journey is the need to be detoxed from drugs that played a major role in their trafficking. After detox, a survivor can begin their healing journey on the beautiful WellHouse campus where, at no cost, they receive housing, food, clothing, medical and dental care, in depth trauma therapy, life skills classes and educational opportunities. Additionally, on site Work therapy, a 2-year transitional living housing, and a partnership with an aftercare organization leads to further sustainability and reduces the risk of relapse and being lured back into trafficking. o Freedom Business Alliance is an organization that exist to create a economic solution for survivors of human trafficking. They use their resource to train, equip and support business owners across the globe on how to hire survivors of human trafficking, providing them with the support and financial opportunity to build a life on a new foundation. With $25,000 of funding Freedom Business Alliance will be able to provide Trauma-informed training for member companies from around the world and participate in training and conferences around the world. o Finally, $10,000 will go to the promotion of local philanthropic efforts through Generosity Birmingham. Generosity Birmingham, an extension of Generous.Life, is a community of faith-based donors who gather to inspire and equip each other in radical generosity for the good of the Birmingham area. Commitment from the Nonprofit Partners. Each nonprofit partner agrees to provide a six-month and 12-month report on impact to include stories, photos, and statistics of impact in the community. Each partner also agrees to provide financial reports on the use of funds if requested by the fundraiser. -

Community Building In Middle Georgia FGF Community Building We're trying to solve/improve three aspects of food assistance for people in need in Middle GA (primarily Wilkinson & Baldwin Counties): 1. Access to healthier food options: fresh produce as a weekly staple 2. Providing safe, nutritious food for clients with health or dietary food restrictions: food allergies, diabetes, etc 3. Making food access available to the homebound, medically at-risk populations, seniors, and clients living in areas not readily served by food assistance resources: home deliveries, mailed/shipped non-perishable food, ordered grocery store pickups or deliveries PROGRAM BUDGET Operations (Delivery/Transport/Etc): $15,600 Food (Storage): $30,000 Food: $30,000 Programming: $300,000 EXPECTED OUTCOMES Serve over 500 families with 35+ pounds of food for 52 weeks. ($14+ per family per week.) -

Clean drinking 🚱 water Tombe Isaac We are doing what we can to hpmthe community of Aru junction in Central equatoria state of South sudan 🇸🇸, the population of 400 household in the area of Aru junction has been in search for stable clean drinking water for years since south sudan got her independent in 2011 the people of Aru junction have not got any stable clean water supply source, they have 2 hand pump water well in the area but can always get broken down and the community had to go and fetch water from streams nearby. As a result many children died of water related diseases, such as typhoid, cholera and so on, so we are looking to get solar pump well for the community.

Christ Kitchen Barista Training Program tracy Christ Kitchen is a job training and discipleship program in Spokane, WA, for women living in poverty and/or needing a restart for employment. Through the production and sale of our gourmet dried food products, our full-service catering services, a food truck, a café, a coffee house, and a garden, this ministry enables women to learn to work, become employable, and support themselves and their families. Graduation from Christ Kitchen means that you are NOT reliant on government programs, any substance, or destructive relationships. Christ Kitchen needs funding to support its highly effective Barista Training program that offers women the ability to gain a skill set, enabling them to earn a life-sustaining wage for themselves and the children that rely on her for survival. The program allows graduates from this program to obtain employment that will provide wages and benefits, eliminating government assistance. Continuing the Barista Matrix would have a dynamic impact on the population we serve. The effects of poverty on single mom families struggle with chronic food insecurity, hunger, & malnutrition. We see that our women are often 3rd or 4th generation born into poverty. We are helping to break those statistics. This program has a significant impact across this ministry, both financially & in the community, as we strengthen the workforce allowing women to get life-sustaining jobs in this industry & lighting the load on public assistance reliance. The opportunity to earn money may bring women to the Kitchen, but it is the spiritual and emotional care that sustains them. HOPE is the firm foundation of this ministry. Women come through our doors facing employment and life challenges after incarceration, trafficking, abuse, addiction, and many other challenges. Helo us to heal howardterry590 Hi Everyone, I am fundraising for my friend, Evangelita Merry, and her family. The family is in desperate need. They need your prayers. They need your material and financial support. Evangelita and Josh have been married for ten years and have four beautiful children, all in elementary school. One of the children needs a Sensory Toy to help calm the stress and confusion he is experiencing. This year has been especially tough not just because of Covid and the normal stresses of raising a young family but also because the husband's medical problems and mental health issues have landed him in jail. The physical issues (back problems, etc) and mental health issues have been diagnosed and they are real. Hopefully, after years of trying to get help and so many failures in the past, the judge will help with addressing the mental health issues. Josh needs help, not jail. The children miss him and are confused about the situation and why he is not home. Evangelita is so stressed, scared, not sleeping, and being pulled in so many directions. She is taking steps to care for her children's physical and mental well-being, but she needs help. She cannot continue working two jobs. She needs money for gas, paying a babysitter, buying school supplies and clothes for some of the children, purchasing sensory toys and so so much more.
