Boys In The Band Benefitting The SAM Foundation info@thealabamatribute.com It is a genuine privilege to partner with The SAM Foundation again for our third annual Alabama tribute show here in my hometown of Fort Payne, Alabama. The work that The SAM Foundation is putting forth to prevent suicide through education, and reducing the stigma of mental health is much needed and much appreciated. As someone who has personally struggled with anxiety and depression since adolescence it is a cause close to my heart. I believe that feeling free to talk about mental health, especially for those who may have been taught to hide feelings and emotions, is a major step toward preventing suicide. My grandfather, Paul Crow, started what became the Randy Owen Celebrity Golf Classic in the early 1980s, and that event raised over $1M for abused, abandoned, and neglected young people in Alabama. It was a cause important to him, and he generously offered his support for many years. In my mind I’m following in his footsteps, in a small way, to support a cause close to me. Not to mention it is a huge honor to me that our event pays tribute to my other heroes, our hometown boys, Alabama. Roll on! Michael Weatherly Boys In The Band -

Through grants we provide opportunities for the next generation to engage in physical activity, embrace individuality and lead by example. The fund was established in memory of Matt Froehlich (1980-2021) to support holistic inclusion strategies alongside community organizations - ensuring that every youth participant feels welcomed, equally valued, respected and enabled to reach their full potential.

Conquer Malnutrition 🥜🍚 jennieschwartz Take a moment and imagine. Aside from your daily struggles, your baby is wasting away, and you don’t even know why! First, you spend what little money you have on a short hospital stay. Your child was treated for malaria, and then you are told it’s time to be discharged from the hospital. You look at your baby, and she doesn’t even have the strength to hold her head up. The nurse hands you a paper that you may or may not be able to read, and then she refers you to a feeding clinic. The following day you borrow money for transportation so you can take your baby and pick up food at the feeding clinic. You arrive only to be told NO SUPPLY HERE. WHAT IS A MOTHER TO DO? Cry4humanity wants to partner with you and open a food and education center! A facility that every needy mother and child can rely on. A place that empowers women through health education and provides children with the food necessary to recover fully from malnutrition. Mothers will learn the cause of malnutrition and how to prevent it from reoccurring. The site for the center is located in the Mabanta Village. It will be the first and only facility of its kind in the area. The nearest feeding clinic is five miles away and rarely has therapeutic food to give to patients. The following is a list of some of the programs that will be offered to our clients. PREP AND LEARN- Instruct mothers how to prepare adequate food for their malnourished child. As a group, mothers will learn which foods to use, how to prepare them, and how to feed them to their child safely. All training will be hands-on! The prepared food will go home with the mother, and she will feed it to her child. Each patient will be asked to return on a specific date. Progress will be monitored, and the process will repeat until the child has recovered completely! Prenatal Education Classes- Promote the maintenance of healthy lifestyles during pregnancy, learn the importance of long term breastfeeding, helping expectant mothers manage stress, support a nutritious diet, avoid harmful chemicals and situations, recognize warning signs and symptoms that mean something may be wrong with their pregnancy, and prepare for labor and delivery. Breastfeeding Support- A group where breastfeeding women can come together and encourage one another to continue breastfeeding their child until 12 months of age. Incentives (food, cloth, baby items, etc.) will be given to women as they reach their goals!!! Possibilities are endless- As God provides, the amount and type of support offered will expand.

Children in Eastern Ukraine have already endured shelling and violence for the last eight years. Many have been displaced from their homes. Airstrikes and explosions have resulted in damaged essential services such as schools and hospitals. Over one million people have crossed the borders from Ukraine into neighboring countries since the 24th of February. The impact of conflict on children is devastating. Save the Children has been operating in Ukraine since 2014. Their teams are ready to provide life-saving assistance such as food, water, cash transfers, and safe places for children. Save The Children is an independent non-profit charity, and is rated as "Exceptional", with 4 stars from Charity Navigator.

United Forces International Christmas for underprivileged Youth jerrodcrockett.ufi Helping low income families worldwide Held every December, the program's main service event pairs underprivileged and at-risk children ages 6-10 with a law enforcement officer for a shopping spree leading up to Christmas. OVERVIEW The UFIO Kids Christmas is an extension of the Fraternal Order Of Police, “Shop with a Cop” program. Giving community support to small town police departments by providing monetary support for low income families. GOALS 1. Raise money by either fundraising and/or donations. 2. Select families in need of assistance. 3. Provide gift cards to designated shopping establishments for each child selected. HISTORY This event started in 1989 when a small group of officers quite literally passed around a hat and collected money to take a single child in need shopping for toys. Each year since then the program has grown with thousands of kids being served, worldwide, over the past 30 years. In 2016, Shop with a Cop became a stand alone 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of helping at risk and under-served children within the county. With any additional funds received, Shop with a Cop is able to assist children throughout the year. These children, usually identified by a school resource officer or an after-school program, may be in need of clothes or shoes for school, home items, or just some extra time and a friend to listen. SPECIFICATIONS The traditional “Shop with a Cop " is a program that rewards children with the opportunity to purchase clothing and other necessities while shopping with a police officer. ... Shopping trips are funded by donations from community members and local businesses. For many children, the first time they interact with a Police Officer is when a parent or sibling is being arrested or some other traumatic event. They don't understand why an Officer is arresting their loved one, they just know the Officer is taking them away. The goals for Shop With a Cop are many. The program is intended to boost the children’s morale and build their self-esteem while allowing each participant to see officers in a non- intimidating setting. Likewise, the program fosters a positive relationship between youth and the Police. A police officer will be paired to escort each child around the store assisting with decision making practices and cost-effective purchasing. Most of all, it provides an opportunity for the participants to experience the gift of giving. Children not only shop for themselves, they also purchase gifts for their loved ones. After shopping, the gifts are wrapped by volunteers and given to the parents. Applications for the Shop with a Cop December shopping program are not available to the public. At risk and underprivileged children are identified by referral from school resource officers, school guidance counselors, public aid workers, or other charitable organizations.
